I was attending a seminar many years ago when I heard the speaker say “If you want to succeed at anything there are ten two letter words to live by” and he caught my attention as I hope I have caught yours. They are simply “IF IT IS TO BE, IT IS UP TO ME”. Wow did that bring my life into focus in a heartbeat. In ten words the speaker removed all excuses for the state of my life both professionally and personally.

 

Now you are asking yourself what that has to do with home theater systems? Let me give you a brief background and just maybe it will clear it up. I was married to my wife Kathy 45 years, 2 months, 20 days, 19 hours and 40 minutes ago as of the date and time of this posting. We raised two highly successful hard working sons. Professionally I was promoted time and time again but could not understand the few times I failed until I heard the “Ten Two Letter Words”. Success or failure was always the guy in the mirror. The other simple truth you have heard before is “To be a success in business find a need and fill it”.

Now you know why we started profocus Home Entertainment. I have worked in the customer service, consumer electronics, home entertainment and automation business for over three and a half decades. My youngest son, David has been installing and training others on home theater installations here in the North Dallas market for a dozen years.
